In association with Warburton Arts Project In 2009, the International Year of Natural Fibre and the International Year of Reconciliation, an artists’ exchange project was arranged, supported by the Department of Culture and the Arts. This enabled a small group of women artists from the coastal plains of Perth to visit the senior women artists from the remote community of Warburton in the Gibson desert. This exhibition is the result of that meeting. Warburton Community women artists – Tjingapa Davies, Elizabeth Holland, Nora Holland, Nola Hunt, Walya Mitchell and Lalla West.
Perth artists – Holly Story, Bronwyn Goss and Nalda Searles. Follow Nalda Searles' blog about this project 29 April -8 Jun
at Tjulyuru Exhibition Space, Warburton Community
