This exhibition will focus on such ideas as food security, differing attitudes toward food, the impact of climate change on food production and supply, and the value of eating locally. The artists tackle such questions as; what do we do when we can’t buy food? How do we approach children about slaughtering and preparing animals to eat? How do we promote cultural awareness and acceptance when others eat foods our ancestors deemed ‘inedible’?
Each artist’s perspective on food is explored through the staple technique of drawing, additionally considering thoughts and feelings toward modern interpretations of grinding bones to make bread.
